Search issues, trackers, people, glossary, and more
For researchers & journalists
The full Reddit Watch archive is available as free, no-authentication JSON and CSV endpoints. Responses are cached for one hour and allow cross-origin requests.
The issues database as JSON. Returns { count, issues: [{ slug, title, date, year, summary, categories, url, sourceCount }] }. Returns all matching issues in one response — there is no pagination.
| Param | Description |
|---|---|
| q | Free-text search over title, summary, description, and impact. |
| cats | Comma-separated category slugs (see /categories). |
| from / to | Year window, e.g. from=2015&to=2020 (overlap match). |
| sort | newest (default), oldest, or az. |
curl "https://redditwatch.org/api/issues?cats=moderation-power-abuse&from=2015&to=2020"
The same data and query params as /api/issues, returned as a CSV attachment — one row per issue, sources included.
curl -o reddit-issues.csv "https://redditwatch.org/api/issues/export?sort=oldest"
Per-dataset JSON export of the structured trackers and reference sections. Returns { dataset, count, data }; an unknown dataset returns 404 with the list of valid names.
curl "https://redditwatch.org/api/export/convictions"
Static snapshot files for anyone who wants the whole archive at once rather than querying the endpoints above. Regenerated on every deploy.
| Param | Description |
