Reddit launches AI 'Community Intelligence' ad suite at Cannes Lions
What happened
At the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in June 2025, Reddit unveiled Community Intelligence, an AI-powered advertising suite built on its archive of more than 22 billion posts and comments. The launch debuted two early-stage products: Reddit Insights, an AI social-listening tool for campaign planning and creative testing, and Conversation Summary Add-ons, which place AI-summarized community discussions beneath brand advertisements.
Early alpha partners reportedly included Publicis, Hershey, and Comcast. The suite marked one of Reddit's first major efforts to productize its conversation data for advertisers through artificial intelligence, turning the platform's human discussion into structured marketing intelligence. It fit Reddit's broader post-IPO push to differentiate its advertising business and to extract more value from its unique trove of community content.
