What happened
On February 12, 2025, Reddit reported fourth-quarter and full-year 2024 results in its first annual report as a public company. Fourth-quarter revenue grew 71% year over year to $427.7 million with GAAP net income of $71.0 million, and daily active uniques reached 101.7 million, surpassing 100 million for the first time on a quarterly-average basis. Full-year 2024 revenue rose about 62% to roughly $1.3 billion.
The full year still showed a net loss of about $484.3 million, driven primarily by IPO-related stock-compensation expense, while adjusted EBITDA for the year reached $298.0 million. The results, which beat expectations on revenue and users, reinforced Reddit's transition from a perpetually unprofitable forum into a fast-growing public company with multiple consecutive profitable quarters.
