Reddit, Inc. v Commonwealth of Australia & Minister for Communications

Reddit filed an Application for a Constitutional or Other Writ in the High Court of Australia challenging the Online Safety Amendment (Social Media Minimum Age) Act 2024, seeking a declaration that the Act is invalid and a writ restraining the Minister from specifying Reddit as an 'age-restricted social media platform'. Grounds include the implied freedom of political communication and that Reddit's purpose is not 'to enable online social interaction between two or more end-users'.
