Biography
Nick Caldwell is an American technology executive who served as Reddit's vice president of engineering from 2017, where over roughly two years he grew the company's engineering organisation from around thirty-five engineers to approximately one hundred and seventy-seven during a period of rapid scaling. Before Reddit he spent more than a decade at Microsoft, rising to general manager in the Power BI organisation, and he has spoken publicly about being one of the few Black engineering leaders to reach senior ranks in the industry. After Reddit he became chief product officer at the data-analytics company Looker, and later held senior product and engineering leadership roles at Twitter. His tenure coincided with Reddit's build-out of its modern infrastructure and product platform ahead of its later commercial expansion, making him one of the notable technical leaders of Reddit's growth era.
