Reddit rewrites its involuntary-pornography rule to cover deepfakes

On February 7, 2018, Reddit published a comprehensive content-policy update that split its combined rule into two distinct prohibitions, covering involuntary pornography and sexual or suggestive content involving minors, and clarified that faked (AI-generated) depictions count as involuntary pornography. Reddit simultaneously banned r/deepfakes and related communities trading nonconsensual face-swapped sexual imagery.
