Reddit begins warning users who repeatedly upvote violent content

In March 2025 Reddit rolled out a new enforcement action against consumption-side behavior: accounts that repeatedly upvote violating, violent content receive formal warnings. It was the first sanction aimed at voters rather than posters, and Reddit's H1 2025 transparency report lists the warnings among its standard account-level actions.
