awkwardtheturtle was a prominent Reddit power moderator named among the five mods in the viral March 2020 'Feudal Five' list. In 2021 a large campaign formed against the account, alleging arbitrary bans and bias; a Change.org petition drew nearly 14,000 signatures and an r/mildlyinfuriating post some 80,000 upvotes. The account was removed from r/mildlyinfuriating and was later banned and deleted.
