Summary
Per Reddit's 2020 transparency report, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) alleged that 812 subreddits violated Pakistan's anti-obscenity laws; Reddit responded by geo-restricting access to 753 of them for Pakistani users — one of the single largest country-specific access-restriction actions in the report. Pakistan's PTA routinely blocks pornographic and content deemed blasphemous under PECA and telecom rules, and partial subreddit blocking remains ongoing.
