Removed for hosting content that encouraged physical self-harm (pro-eating-disorder behaviors)
Banned November 14, 2018 (the JMIR paper records November 15) as one of Reddit's largest pro-eating-disorder communities, under the content policy prohibiting posts that encourage physical harm. Academic studies document that successor communities created after the ban were quickly removed as well.
