Summary
Erlend Secret Vikar, also known as Joshua Evan Huff, a 41-year-old Beaverton, Oregon man, was sentenced on July 29, 2026 to 15 years in federal prison and 30 years of supervised release for sexually exploiting a child online. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Oregon, court documents show that from around November 2022 through August 2023 Vikar messaged and video chatted with a minor living overseas and coerced her into sexually explicit conduct. The Office said Vikar met the victim on Reddit and later communicated with the child on Discord. It said he gained the minor's trust, sent her pornographic material and coerced her into sending him sexually explicit photographs and videos, many made according to his requests, and that he also coerced her to contact other men online. The release states that Vikar had legally changed his name from Joshua Evan Huff and is believed to have worked as a private tutor in Beaverton. He was arrested in October 2024 in Cloverdale, Virginia. On November 19, 2024, a federal grand jury in Portland returned a two-count indictment charging him with coercion and enticement of a minor and sexual exploitation of children. On April 27, 2026, Vikar pleaded guilty to the charge of sexual exploitation of children. In addition to the prison term and supervised release, he was ordered to pay $3,000 in restitution to one of the victims. The FBI investigated the case, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Eliza Carmen Rodriguez prosecuted it as part of Project Safe Childhood. U.S. Attorney Scott E. Bradford said the 15-year sentence reflected the seriousness of internet crimes that exploit children. KPTV in Portland reported the sentence the same day and, citing the U.S. Attorney's Office, said Vikar met his victim on Reddit around November 2022. The release does not identify a subreddit.
