Summary
Reddit is among the large set of major Western platforms blocked in Iran under the state's national filtering system, administered through the National Information Network. Network-measurement researchers have documented enforcement via in-path techniques such as SNI-based HTTPS termination and HTTP 403 block-page injection. Iran blocks more globally popular sites than nearly any country except China, listing Reddit alongside Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Telegram. The restriction is part of a broad, long-standing censorship regime rather than a discrete order naming Reddit. Access is generally only possible through circumvention tools.
